Where the Money Goes
1: Family Services
2: Research
Bear Heart is committed to providing financial support for families affected by childhood cancer during and after treatment. By providing direct financial assistance, the foundation helps cover essential expenses such as medical bills, travel for treatment, and daily living costs. The goal is to ensure that families can focus on supporting their loved ones through their cancer journey without the added stress of financial strain.
Donating money to a childhood cancer research lab is a powerful way to support the advancement of treatments and cures for pediatric cancer. Research labs work on developing innovative therapies and improving survival rates for children. We endorse Children's Cancer Therapy Development Institute (cc-TDI) in Hillsboro Oregon. We follow their work and trust what they are doing 100%. Their mission is to translate scientific discovery into clinical trials.

“Our Y”
In July of 2015 our first born son, Tyce Bradley Campbell was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma at the young age of 21 months old. A devilish and complex tumor had grown in his left calf muscle and wrapped around all of his blood vessels and nerves. Without any family history of cancer there were no answers as to why our son was about to fight for his life. Tyce received 43 weeks of Chemotherapy treatment at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City Utah. As his parents we experienced all of the pain and heartache that you can imagine and then some. Just one week after Tyce’s second birthday, he had his left leg amputated. We were cautioned by the team of doctors that if he did not have the amputation that the cancer was going to spread. Rhabdomyosarcoma is a very rare and aggressive form of soft tissue cancer. It was heartbreaking to see our son struggle through learning to walk again, puking every day, losing weight, losing color in his skin, losing his hair, and simply losing himself. We all fought hard! We are beyond grateful for his doctors and nurses, to our family and friends new and old that showed up in a BIG way. We couldn’t have fought the fight without you all! We as a family experienced unbelievable miracles. We had earthly angels and even heavenly angels with us.
Here in 2024, Tyce is now 11 years old. He rocks a cool robot leg and inspires many people all around the country. It’s Tyce’s world and we are just living in it! He is excelling in school and sports. He is the most determined and simply put, the TUFFEST boy around! We are proud of where he is today and we know that we are lucky and blessed.
